Starting September 2000, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences will adopt broad-based admission requirements that look at a range of criteria, not just academic standing.

Starting this fall, UBC is offering Foundations, a first-year Faculty of Arts program designed to provide exposure to a broad range of themes in the Humanities and Social Sciences. It brings new students and selected UBC faculty members together to explore knowledge in small group settings. The program promotes creativity, critical thinking and analytical abilities, and it develops the writing and speaking skills that are key to academic, career, and personal success.
