As the 2006 Rhodes Scholar, Matthew Chan will be putting his UBC Bachelor of Arts to work with a $100,000, two-year scholarship to pursue a MSc in global health science at Oxford University -- a degree the Vernon, BC native hopes will be an extension of his volunteer work in Uganda and the Dominican Republic.
