Bookstore of the Year
UBC Bookstore has been named Campus Bookstore of the Year
for 2004 by the Canadian Booksellers Association at their
recent Libris Awards presentation.UBC Bookstore was recognized
for initiatives such as hosting several successful author
events including Lt.-Gen. Roméo Dallaire and sponsoring
a five-event Robson Reading series for emerging local writers.
In addition, the Bookstore and UBC Destinations group hosted
a Neighbourhood Appreciation Night, the first time many campus
residents came together in a community setting.
UBC Bookstore also won this award in 1999, tied with the
University of Toronto Bookstore.
